WHY USE STREET BIZ ?..

STREET BIZ is on a regular daily contact with dozens of professional street performers based in the United States, Canada, New Zealand, most of Europe, and all of Australia . It knows who they are, what they do, and when or where they'll be, when planning any particular event.

It has the trust and respect of these performers which is both a rare and enormous asset. Any of the performers engaged by STREET BIZ for an event will give of their best. They all know that, no matter how great or badly an event turns out, their input and interests are understood, highly valued and strongly upheld by an organisation that cares more about the true art and spirit of street performing than any other in Australia today.

STREET BIZ does not cover all of the many various organisational aspects of any festival or event (i.e., local sponsorship, local advertising, stalls and other entertainment etc). Rather it liases with the local community organisers providing valuable advice and expertise to ensure that the street theatre programme planned receives the vital focus and smooth running necessary for the maximum benefit to the community involved.

STREET BIZ has to have a strong and honest communication link with any local organisers involved for any common project to be a success. Any festival or event undertaken has to be seen as a community project rather than a buisness promotional exercise designed to benefit a few local sponsors. All involved should be aiming for the long term view of creating an event that becomes a catalyst for the total enjoyment and good of the whole community. STREET BIZ's ultimate goal is to redress the street performing global imbalance of dozens of international street performers /buskers festivals in Europe and North America and very few in Australia.
