INFO. INTERNATIONAL ACTS. Please find/sort out a fax number for me to be able to fax you the necessary permit application forms. You will need to fax them back to me once you've signed them. Please do not be as stupid as to show Customs busking permits or permit application forms upon arrival. The last moron to do this was responsible for the work visa clauses in the Busking Policy here. It has taken me a year to undo the damage this idiot caused. Neither the Sydney City Council or Darling Harbour require you to show a work visa upon applying for a permit anymore. However it is presumed you have one so if at all possible, try and arrange one before leaving. Accomodation is at a premium in Sydney right now with local residents making a killing renting their flats/houses etc for totally ludicrious sums. Please don't turn up expecting to just crash with a local performer because his couch has either been reserved months ago or he doesn't have one. If you can, suss it out beforehand via the internet. Transportation is going to be far harder than the grind it usually is here. Come with minimum props. Amplification is allowed in Sydney provided it's battery powered so bring wireless mics if you have one. |
