Dom Ferry - Events Co-Ordinator History
o

Since 1996, when not performing, Dom has become more and more involved in the co-ordinating and programming field of street theatre and outdoor festivals in Australia.

B
eing able to clearly identify the many different needs and requirements for the successful integration of all the various aspects of street performing into an event, by using 18 years of world-wide festival performance experience, is just one good side in Dom's growing success in this field.

o
Having an outstanding good rapport with all the many and great performers that are based in Australia or that visit these shores often is another one of Dom's great assets. These acts all know that, no matter how great or badly an event turns out, their input and interests are understood, highly valued and strongly upheld by an organiser that cares more about the true art and spirit of street performing than any other in Australia today. When he does make the call, they give 110 per cent

W
hilst highly passionate about this art-form, Dom also fully understands the other sides of events planning and running.
o
He has carefully researched problem area's such as "risk management, OHS, work-cover, and public liability" to name a few, and how they apply and affect such events.

Dom
has also been an integral part in the drafting of street performing regulations for many city and town councils all over Australia. He is consulted regularly by such public space bodies as the Darling Harbour Authority in Sydney and the South Bank Corporation in Brisbane.
